.

We use the Global Positioning System (GPS) as a navigation aid for expeditions in remote regions (and just for fun as well). Currently we own four handheld  Garmin GPS receivers: a  GPS-38, an eTrex Legend, an eTrex Vista, and finaly our newest acquisition: an eTrex Legend-c(olor). In both the planing and the evaluation phase of our expeditions we use OziExplorer,  a fine piece of software to project waypoinst and tracks on scanned paper maps.

Below you will find a number of
ZIP-files containing OziExplorer waypoint and track files. Most waypoints and tracks were recorded after the U.S. Military turned off the GPS selective availability limitations in may 2000, so you can exactly see where we went during our expeditions! :-)
